Domus21.ng ("Domus21", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Domus21 Inc., respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA).

  1. Account data: name, email address, phone number, and account type (buyer or agent) when you register.
  1. Listing data: property details, photographs, and contact information you submit when publishing a listing.
  1. Enquiry and contact data: messages you send through contact forms or listing enquiries.
  1. Usage data: basic technical information such as device type, browser, and pages visited, used to operate and improve the platform. We do not use invasive tracking.

2. Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)

  1. Consent — you provide your details voluntarily when registering, listing, or contacting us.
  1. Contract — we process your data to provide the platform services you requested (accounts, listings, enquiries).
  1. Legitimate interest — operating, securing, and improving the platform, and preventing fraud and misuse.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To publish and display your listings and connect buyers with listers.
  • To respond to your enquiries and support requests.
  • To send service-related notices (e.g., listing approval status). We do not send marketing messages without your separate consent.

4. Sharing

  1. We do not sell your personal data.
  1. Listing contact details you choose to publish are visible to platform visitors — only publish what you are comfortable sharing publicly.
  1. We may share data with service providers who help operate the platform (e.g., hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations, and where required by law or lawful court order.

5. Your Rights (NDPA 2023)

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention duties.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

6. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and you share information at your own discretion.

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time via Contact@domus21.ng.

8. Children's Privacy

Domus21 is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
